Inspiring Others

Atiya Johnson continues to inspire others with her story and makes an impact in not only women’s empowerment, but shows excellence through diversity, and continues to demonstrate that with grit and determination, you can make a great difference no matter what obstacles seem to challenge you!
Over the past 20 years, Atiya has maintained a thriving salon, has been married to the love of her life, Dwayne Johnson for over 17 years while raising their 3 tenacious children, created her own hair care product line, became a published author of “F*** the Naysayers”: A guide to being a Fierce Unapologetic Committed Queen and has most recently broken the glass ceiling by opening the first black owned and operated cosmetology school in New Jersey! Although she was met with much resistance while opening the school for over 3 years by local and state leaders, Atiya remained determined, passionate, unapologetic to wanting change in her community, and graceful throughout the entire process. The mission of helping her community, educating people from diverse backgrounds, and servicing people with a contagious smile outweighed any roadblocks that the naysayers presented. Throughout her life, at times, she may have doubted her ability, been underestimated, and challenged to become the person that she is today! However, Atiya Johnson has not only earned a “seat at the table”, she has created her own powerful table and continues to strive to invite other strong, passionate, and driven individuals to grab their chair! Atiya Johnson continues to inspire others with her story and makes an impact in, not only women’s excellence, but black excellence, and overall continues to demonstrate that with grit and determination you can make a great difference no matter what obstacles seem to challenge your undeniably high level of Excellence!
